“I have a bobcat in my car” isn’t something dispatchers expected to hear on Tuesday night in Portage County, Wisconsin. Reasonably intrigued, three deputies arrived on site to investigate.
“As you can imagine the shock they were in when low and behold there was a bobcat in the vehicle,” Sheriff Mike Lukas wrote in a Facebook post. “My deputies are really good at solving problems but this one baffled them so we called in reinforcements with Conservation Warden Bryan Lockman.”
Surprisingly, the bobcat appears alive and well in the video. Once lassoed and freed from the car grill, the cat takes a ride in the back of the warden’s truck to be released at a safe destination.
“All in a day’s work at the Portage County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin DNR,” Sheriff Lukas concluded.
